While scouring my old back-up folders, I came across this very beautiful poem saved to text file. While I have no memory of who sent it to me or where I found it, searching for it’s words returned no fruitful results. Therefore, I publish this poem in memory of that Unknown Person, so that this beautiful peace of literature doesn’t get lost. If you use this poem, just don’t forget to link back and maybe someday the original author will able to know that his/her work is still preserved.

ZTE ZXDSL 531B is a Type II modem that was supplied by BSNL to it's BSNL Broadband (previously DataOne) subscribers free of cost upon commitment of a fixed duration or upon payment of additional charges.
While, the modem is really good at what it does, I found a security hole in it that, if exploited properly, can bring nightmare to it's users.

Solar Eclipses are always fun to watch and photographing it is a cherry on the cake. Annular Solar Eclipse of January 15, 2010 was a great success (after a huge failure and total washout at Indore on July 22, 2009).
Although late, here is my brief report on it.

Update Seems like the issue was caused due to lack of permissions on my App_Data folder(I wonder how this happened!!!). I’ve tested downloading each and every of the files and it seems to be working okay. Please comment here if you have problem downloading or reaching any part of site. I’ve recently detected that there is a problem while downloading files and I’m already working to find a resolution for it. Sorry for inconvenience. I’ll post an update as soon as I’m able to resolve this issue.
Warning: It has come to my notice that the current version has a bug when used on Laptops. The application will create tasks with condition "Start the task only if the computer is on AC power" checked by default. So, if you are running your downloads while on batteries, the tasks won't run. Workaround: I've already resolved the bug but I need to test it before uploading. Please modify this condition manually. Click here for a step-by-step guide on how to do that. 2009/12/27 - Resolved The updated version has been uploaded and is now available for download. Also, I've added reco...

I recently visited Karl Francisco Fernandes’s blog mesonprojekt with awesome design. There, while reading one of his blog entries, I saw this small widget on the right called “ABOUT THIS ARTICLE” and my heart just said – I want one. Well that’s it. I tried(I swear I did) to search for it on internet for a while but soon ended up deciding to write my own. So since, I was going to write one for my own, I decided to write down my requirements (greyed out features are yet to be implemented.) To display well formatted information of currently viewed post. To add suppor...

Update - April 29, 2011 It has come to my notice that when a user inserts a new USB flash drive, Windows will reset the registry allowing the user to use the USB drive on the system. While, I did find a fix, it was no use to re-invent the wheel when there already exists a (free) program to get the work done. A program from Intelliadmin is freely available that you can use to disable usb pendrives. Please have a look at their article for more details.
While scouring through my old archives, I came across a very simple utility, that I had created back in 2005 for my dad’s office to pro...

I know I’m quite late to write my report for the forgotten TSE of July, 22, 2009 and honestly I had no interest to write anything after it turned out to be a total failure (!!! not eclipse :( ). But as a duty of a true observer, I’m going to (reluctantly) write a report for it.
